What We Do
“To whom much is given, much is required.”
We see ourselves, and the bulk of the western world, as part of the “to whom much has been given” group. We are compelled and dedicated to sharing our relative affluence in service to others. We respect the culture and traditions of the local communities where Ameena Project sponsored programs are. We focus on coming along side our sponsored program partners to allow them to carry out their work in their community. Empowering local leaders to be able to do what is right for their community is our goal. We recognize that local solutions are best for local problems. This is our philosophy for serving high-need communities in developing countries.
Our first project is within the small and isolated community of Kiang’ombe, Kenya, where hundreds of young children are struggling daily for their basic needs without opportunity for education or developmentally enriching experiences. Read more about the project here.
